Professor Jimoh is a lecturer in the Department of Civil Engineering, University of Ilorin. He has B.Eng, M.Eng, and Ph.D in civil engineering, respectively. He is COREN registered and specialised in structure and material engineering with over 30 years of teaching experience. His administrative experiences include three times headship of Department of Civil Engineering (2010-2012, 2015-2017, and 2021-2024). He has also served as Examination officer for the department and was once a coordinator of the Students Work Experience Programme (SWEP) for the Faculty.

His research interest includes timber, concrete, waste material and local materials. Outside the university, Jimoh has served as an external examiner to some universities and also had a 12 month sabbatical leave at Kano University of Science and Technology Wudil. He is a reviewer of many journals and involved in other community services at various times. He has over 70 publications.
