Biography

Ibrahim Tunde Yusuf, Professor of Transportation and Highway Engineering, Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, University of Ilorin, Ilorin, Nigeria.

He served in the following positions:

(i)  Civil Engineering Students’ Academic Adviser 2001 to 2016

(ii) Civil Engineering Departmental Examiner Officer –       2005/2006 Sessions

(iii) Head, Department of Civil Engineering – 1st August –    2019 to 31st July, 2021

(iv)  Civil Engineering Students’ Academic Adviser – 2020/2021 & 2021/2022 Sessions

(v) Civil Engineering Departmental Examiner Officer –       2020/2021 & 2021/2022 Sessions

He presently occupies the following positions:

(iii) Civil Engineering Department Postgraduate Programmes Coordinator – 2015 to date

His research interest is on “Prediction of flexural fatigue strength of palm kernel shell concrete under laboratory conditions”. These studies are geared towards determining the cost effective development and operation of roads and highways using local materials within the vicinity that create impacts of resources depletion, environmental degradation, and energy consumption.

He has to his to his credit over sixty in reputable outlets covering journals, edited conference proceedings and chapters in books. He has successfully supervised over 30 Masters dissertations and 3 Ph.D. Theses.
